The Indianapolis Colts play host to the New York Jets tonight on Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Colts favored by about a touchdown to get the win.

Indianapolis looked pedestrian in their opener, getting beat up by the Buffalo Bill defense. Andrew Luck had a tough day with two picks, he was pressured the entire game and never really got into a rhythm. Tonight the Colts face another tough defense in the Jets, who got the best of Cleveland last week.

The Colts will be looking at a lot of problems if they lose this one tonight. Starting 0-2 in the NFL has historically shown that teams can have a tough time making the playoffs and Indianapolis does have several big games remaining on the schedule. Getting to 1-1 would keep them on par with Tennessee and Jacksonville through the opening two weekends, each of those teams would be tied for first place.

The Jets scored 31 points in a clobbering of the Browns last weekend, Ryan Fitzpatrick led the green and white with a pair of touchdown passes to his talented wide receivers Eric Decker and Brandon Marshall. New York might not be a terrible offensive club this year, Chris Ivory can run the football and as long as Fitzpatrick doesn't try to win every game by himself the Jets might be a decent team. They're going to have to score some points to beat the Colts, who will be looking for a big game offensively after losing last week.

New York hasn't put together back-to-back wins in a couple of seasons and Indianapolis was very strong in home games last year, winning six of their eight games with the two losses came to New England and Philadelphia. Frank Gore was brought in to stabilize the run game and give Indianapolis a shot in the arm from a physical standpoint, but after one week it didn't have the results Indy is looking for as the Colts finished with only 64 yards on 17 carries. 

Tonight the Colts will get a strong game from Luck, whether T.Y. Hilton gets to play or not. Indianapolis doesn't want to feel the pressure of falling down 0-2 to start the year and they have a beatable opponent.
