The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the Buffalo Bills tonight on Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The NFL Odds for the game have the Seahawks favored by a touchdown at home.
Total: 44 points
This one looks to be right up the Seahawks’ ally here. Seattle is 3-0 in home games this season while the Bills have been so-so in their four games on the road. Seattle is not an easy place for opponents to play and the added night pressure of being on national television only adds to Seattle’s desire to crush everyone in the NFL.
The Seahawks have stumbled a bit in their last two games, playing to a 6-6 tie with Arizona and then losing at New Orleans last week. Russell Wilson has to play better for the Seahawks to succeed with their remaining schedule.
They still have to play at New England next week, but Seattle isn’t a team that gets caught looking ahead to an opponent.
Buffalo also has been struggling, losing two straight while scoring 25 points in each game. They gave up 28 at Miami and 41 to New England and have slumped to 4-4 on the season.
This is going to be a battle of a team that can score points in Buffalo, with 212 on the season, and Seattle, who has given up just 109 on the season, the fewest in the league.
Wilson needs to get better for Seattle to get back to where they have been. The offense is struggling enough (18.7 ppg) that Buffalo could hang around in this one, but the defense is strong enough to cause Tyrod Taylor and the Bills problems the entire game.
