The winner of this game heads to Chicago to take on the Cubs in the National League Division Series on Friday as the playoffs get underway. The Mets are one of the hottest teams in the league, winning 27 of their final 40 regular season games and grinding their way into the wild card game.
It’s an even year, which gives Giants fans some reason for excitement. San Francisco has won World Series titles in 2010, 2012 and 2014, making this year one that could be special for the Giants if the trend continues.

Syndergaard won 14 games this season, he had a 2.60 ERA and struck out 218. One of the young Mets flame throwers, Thor was actually better in road games this season as he went 6-6 at home with a 2.87 ERA. Either way he was a solid starter that will be a tough test for the Giants.
Both teams have post season experience and this could be a lower-scoring game. It’s tough to ignore the success of Bumgarner from previous playoff starts.
