MLB Picks Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox

The Cleveland Indians and Boston Red Sox continue their four game set tonight with a game two clash at Fenway Park. This evening’s meeting between the Indians and Sox is scheduled to get underway at 7:10pm ET. The latest MLB Picks and Odds at 5Dimes are favoring the hosting Red Sox at -110 on the money line ($110 wins $100) while the Indians are -210 (+1.5) run line favorite. Tonight’s game total is set at nine runs; the Over and Under are both drawing -110 odds.

Cleveland snapped a two game skid last night, blasting the Red Sox 12-3 in Skipper Terry Francona’s return to Fenway Park. The Indians outburst was sparked by the trio of Michael Bourn, Mark Reynolds, and Drew Stubbs as they each produced three hits and combined for eight RBI.

The win improved Cleveland’s record to 27-19 and left it a half game ahead of the second place Detroit in the AL Central standings. The Indians will look to maintain their lead this evening with staff ace and former Red Sox Justin Masterson toeing the rubber.

Masterson has been masterful this season, producing a 7-2 to go along with a 2.83 ERA and 1.13 WHIP in nine starts. The 28 year old year hander, who has 71 strikeouts in 70 innings pitched, is coming off two unbelievable outings as he yielded just seven hits and zero earned runs while striking out 20 (16 innings pitched) in wins over the Mariners (6-0) and Yankees (1-0).

Boston, which fell to 28-20 with last night’s loss (game behind the first place Yankees in the AL East), will look to tame the Indians lineup with veteran righty John Lackey. Lackey, who is making his seventh start of the season, is 2-4 with a 3.31 ERA and 1.22 WHIP this season.

Lackey is 1-1in two starts at Fenway Park this year, but he has allowed just 11 hits and two earned runs in 13 innings of work at the legendary venue. Lackey gave up just one and zero earned runs in his last outing (six innings pitched), a 5-1 Red Sox win at Minnesota.

Notable Trends: The Indians are 4-1 in their last five games as a road dog against a right hander pitcher. The Red Sox are 1-5 in their last six games as a home favorite with a money line spread between 100 and 120.

MLB Picks Cleveland Indians vs Boston Red Sox:

Cleveland Indians +1.5 (-210), Over 9 (-110), +100 (Moneyline)

Boston Red Sox -1.5 (+175), Under 9 (-110), -110 (Moneyline)
