The Nationals have been playing some strong baseball to this point in the season. They’re 10-5 and already have a two-game lead in the National League East and currently sit two and a half games above the Mets.

Tonight, New York sends Jacob deGrom to the mound. He’s got the flowing locks and will be looking to mow down the Nationals this evening. deGrom is 0-0 on the season in three starts but has a 1.89 ERA covering 19 innings. He’s stuck out 22 in that time but New York has yet to win or score more than four runs in his games.

Bryce Harper has some strong numbers against deGrom, he has seven hits (including two doubles and a home run) in 18 at bats. Harper is off to a very solid season, hitting .400 with six home runs and 18 RBI in 15 games so far. 

The Nats are sending Tanner Roark (2-0, 3.50) to the mound. All three of his starts have come at home this season and current Mets are hitting .229 against him over 157 at bats. Washington has won four in a row and seven of the last 10.
