Michigan State vs Northwestern Saturday College Football Odds

No. 13 Michigan State will look to continue its run through the Big Ten this weekend when it meets Legends Division rival Northwestern at Ryan Field in Evanston, Illinois. Saturday's clash between the Spartans and Wildcats is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET on ESPN. The latest Saturday College Football Odds from Sportsbook.ag are favoring Michigan State at -7.5 against the spread; the Over/Under is set at 41.5 points.

Not a whole lot was expected out of Michigan State this season after last year's 7-6 finish, but right now it is firmly in control of the Big Ten's Legends Division.

The Spartans are 9-1 overall and undefeated in conference play, having earned wins over Iowa, Indiana, Purdue, Illinois, Michigan, and Nebraska. Three of Michigan State's conference wins have come away from as they took out the Hawkeyes, Fighting Illini, and Huskers on the road.

Nebraska served as the Spartans latest victim, falling to Mark Dantonio's squad 28-41 last weekend in Lincoln. Michigan State, playing as a six point road favorite, was not its usual self defensively, allowing 19 first downs and 392 total yards, but it did force five Nebraska turnovers in the double digit victory.

Northwestern's once promising season has completely spiraled out of control as it enters Saturday's game riding a six game conference losing streak. The Wildcats have not quit, though, as their only non-competitive loss was a 35-6 defeat at Wisconsin on October 12th.

Northwestern's other five setbacks, two of which reached overtime, came by an average of 6.2 points per game.

The Wildcats are 3-3 at home this season with wins over Syracuse, Western Michigan, and Maine and losses to Ohio State, Minnesota, and Michigan.

Series Notes and Trends: Michigan State is 4-1 straight up and 3-2 against the spread in its last five meetings with Northwestern. The Spartans are also 5-0 straight up and 4-1 against the spread in their last five games as a road favorite against the Wildcats. Northwestern is 0-7 straight up and 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games as a home underdog with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points.

Michigan State vs Northwestern Saturday College Football Odds:

Michigan State Spartans -7.5 (-110), Over 41.5 (-110), -305 (Moneyline)

Northwestern Wildcats +7.5 (-110), Under 41.5 (-110), +255 (Moneyline)
