The Northwestern Wildcats are hosting the Michigan State Spartans in Big Ten college football action on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. The college football odds for the game have the Spartans listed as a big favorite on the road.

Hard to believe the line is this high with the total being this low. Then again, Michigan State has a very good defense and could still cover this number. The issue for the Spartans will be their terrible offense, which at times can be dismal to watch. Sure, they scored some points against Tulsa and Western Michigan, but when they actually played a team with some talent on it, the Spartans struggled. 

MSU had plenty of yards (400-plus), but couldn’t score any points. The Spartans missed field goals and at times looked like they were running in quicksand. After a rough loss at home to Arizona State, it’s tough to see them getting things corrected on a travel week against a Northwestern team that is coming off a bye week and plays tough defense.
