Miami Dolphins 2015 Preview Win Total Odds Schedule

The Miami Dolphins are went just 8-8 in 2014, while finishing 3rd in the AFC East. Vegas isn’t really expecting much from the Dolphins this year, as they have their win total set at 8.5 (O -160). Vegas odds have Miami listed at +400 to win the AFC East, +1800 to win the AFC Title and +4000 to win the Superbowl. Let’s take a quick look at the Miami Dolphins, along with their 2015 Schedule.

Last year the Dolphins ranked 11th in the league in scoring (24.2 ppg), while also ranking 14th in total yards (350.1 ypg), 17th in passing (233.1 ypg) and 12th in rushing (117.0 ypg). Last year the Dolphins upgraded their offensive line and it really helped in terms of production for this unit. The Dolphins did lose WR Mike Wallace in the offseason, but they signed Greg Jennings and Kenny Stills in his place, plus the selected WR Devante Parker with their first round pick in the Draft. They have the solid makings of a good WR corps. The Running game for Miami rose from 26th in the league in 2013, to 12th in the league last year and they should be a bit better this year with Jay Ajayi and Lamar Miller running behind a very solid OL. Getting the ball to this bevy of skill players will be Ryan Tannehill, who is the unquestioned leader of this offense and is ready for a big year. I see another year of improvement from this offense.

Defensively, the Dolphins were pretty average last year, ranking 20th in points allowed (23.3 ppg), 12th in yards allowed (343.4 ypg), 6th vs the pass (222.3 ypg) and 24th vs the run (121.1 ypg). Last year the Fish were not a great defensive team, especially vs the run, but they may have shored up that part of their defense with the signing of Ndamukong Suh, who is a beast on the field, but can he learn to not play dirty and keep him self from getting fines and suspensions? We shall see. Still when he is on his game he is one of the most dominant defenders in the league. Cameron Wake and Oliver Vernon are also along the line and combined for 18 of the Dolphin's 39 sacks last year. The starting LB corps is solid, but they lack depth, while the secondary is once a gain a very solid group after helping the fish rank 6th in pass defense last year. This defense has a shot at being a top 10 unit this year.

There is plenty of excitement in Miami and with good reason. Tannehill should be ready for a big year and he has plenty of weapons to work with on offense, while the defense looks to be much improved as well, especially with the addition of Suh. Philbin is on the hotseat and he better win with this team, especially since the Dolphins were one of the most active teams in the offseason. In looking over their schedule I do see at least 9 wins and it could be 10 should they get to play a Patriots team that will have everything wrapped, in week 17. I do expect Miami to go over their win total and reach the playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Free NFL Betting Pick: Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
It may be June, but this Monday Night Football bet is already a hot commodity with bettors jumping to bet against the San Francisco 49ers. Pro bettor Steve Fezzik loves the Vikings at +3 here, and says this bet is one you want to run, not walk to get before the number before this three-star bet disappears. With Adrian Peterson back, Teddy Bridgewater maturing, and the 49ers imploding, this is a perfect spot to fade a bad team and bet big on an underrated team this 2015 NFL season.
