The 2014 Winter Olympics Men's Hockey Tournament moves on to the semifinal round as the United States will take on Canada in a rematch of the 2010 Gold Medal game in which Canada won. The game has a start time of 12:00 pm (ET) and will be televised on NBCSN and Live Streaming at NBCOlympics.com. Current odds have the USA listed as -120 favorites, while the total sits at 5.5.

Analysis: The United States got the the semis by sweeping through the preliminary round, with wins over Slovakia, Russia and Slovenia. The USA then took out the Czech Republic 5-2 to reach this game vs rival Canada. Phil Kessel has been the USA's hottest player scoring five goals and adding another three assists, which accounts for 40% of America's offensive production of 20 goals. Those 20 goals leads all teams in scoring. The offenses hasn't been the only story for the United States as the goaltending of Jonathan Quick has been stellr. Jonathan comes into this contest having allowed just just five goals while stopping 72 shots, which translates in to a save percentage of 93.51%.  It is no surprise that he will be starting this game vs Canada.

Canada won Group B with three wins, including one in overtime and then squeezed out a 2-1 victory over a gutty Latvia team in the quarterfinals. Defense has been the name of the game for Team Canada as they have allowed just 3 goals in their 4 games thus far. Price has been a bit better this NHL season than Quick and in Sochi, Price hasn’t allowed more than one goal yet… but he’s been challenged less than Quick. Shea Weber has three goals in the tournament, while fellow defenseman Drew Doughty has four. More than half of Canada's 13 goals in the four games have come from the blue line duo. Canada won the gold medal four years ago in Vancouver when Sidney Crosby scored in overtime and they also beat the Americans in the championship game of the 2002 games. 

Prediction: Im looking for a high scoring game. I this that the teams should easily reach at least 3 goals each The goaltending is solid but these offenses have plenty of punch and will go all out in this one. I expect around 7 goals scored here.
