Marshall vs Tulsa Thursday College Football Odds

Marshall
and Tulsa close out Thursday's college football action with a Conference USA showdown at Chapman Stadium in Oklahoma. The two rivals are scheduled to kick things off at 7:30pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1. The latest Thursday College Football Odds are favoring the Thundering Herd at -13.5 against the spread and -500 on the money line ($500 wins $100). The total in this CUSA battle is presently set at 61 points.

Tulsa finished with an impressive 11-3 record last season after notching a 31-17 Liberty Bowl win over Iowa State, but it will not be doing any bowling this year. The Golden Hurricane has been a major disappointment, posting a 2-7 overall record and a 1-4 mark against league opposition.

Tulsa, who earned its wins over Colorado State and UTEP, rides a three game losing streak into this games as it suffered losses to Tulane, Texas - San Antonio, and East Carolina. The Golden Hurricane have also lost three straight at Chapman Stadium, falling to Iowa State, Rice, and the aforementioned UTSA following its home opening win over the Rams.

Tulsa's once potent offense posted totals of 21, 27, and 15 points in those setbacks and it has managed to top the 30 point mark just two times all season.

Marshall has also done a 180 from last year as well, but its reversal has been a positive one. The Thundering Herd, who finished with a 5-7 record last season, are 6-3 overall (4-1 conference) and they trail CUSA East leader East Carolina by just a game.

Marshall has won four of its last five games, topping UTSA, Florida International, Southern Miss, and UAB by an average of 28.8 points per game while falling to Middle Tennessee 49-51 in Murfreesboro.

If the Herd have displayed a weakness it is their play away from home. Marshall is just 1-3 away from the confines of is own stadium, but those losses came against Ohio, Virginia Tech, and Middle Tennessee and by a combined 13 points.

Notable Trends: Marshall is 1-6 against the spread in its last seven games as a road favorite, including an 0-3 mark this season. The Under is 8-2 in Tulsa's last 10 games as an underdog with a total of 54.5 or more points.

Marshall vs Tulsa Thursday College Football Odds:

Marshall Thundering Herd -13.5 (-110), Over 61 (-110), -500 (Moneyline)

Tulsa Golden Hurricane +13.5 (-110), Under 61 (-110), +390 (Moneyline)
