Major League Baseball Seattle Mariners at Toronto Blue Jays Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Toronto Blue Jays welcome in the Seattle Mariners in Major League Baseball action today. The game is scheduled for a 1:07 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Blue Jays favored to pick up the win here at home.

Both Seattle and Toronto find themselves under the .500 mark to this point in the season. Each team has picked up 19 victories on the young season, but Toronto has lost 25 times already through 44 games. Seattle has played three less games to date.

Mark Buehrle will get the ball for the Blue Jays in this one. He's 5-3 on the season, has a 5.36 ERA and has earned a decision in all eight of his starts this year. Alternating wins and losses each of the last four games, Buehrle has found a way to pick up wins while tossing at home in Toronto. The splits are rather clearly good for Buehrle in those home games, where he's won all three of his starts this year after allowing just seven earned runs in 17 innings.

Current Mariners, though, own a .324 average against him in 139 at bats. Robinson Cano has homered three times, Willie Bloomquist has 20 hits in 44 at bats (.455) and Austin Jackson owns a .375 average against him in 24 at bats. Buehrle is going to have to work to earn another win in this one at home.

James Paxton gets the ball for Seattle. He's 2-2 with a 3.59 ERA. Current Blue Jays have eight hits in 18 at bats (.444), but none of them have taken Paxton deep. This is an incredibly early start time for the Mariners and Buehrle has thrown well at home.

Free Pick: Blue Jays

Movie NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
