The Los Angeles Dodgers are hosting the San Francisco Giants tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 10:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live in both markets. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Dodgers favored at home to get the victory.
The Dodgers have been no-hit twice in the last nine days. That's certainly not good, but even with those struggles they're still 3.5 games above the Giants in the National League West. It seems like perfect timing these two are meeting. The Dodgers are 5-5 the last 10 games, the Giants are one worse at 4-6.
The bad news for the Giants is they'll be facing both Zach Greinke and Clayton Kershaw in this series. Tonight they get lefty Brett Anderson, an 8-8 starter with a 3.36 ERA over 25 starts. His home ERA is 3.99 on the tear, he's allowed opponents to hit .277 against him at Dodger Stadium. Current Giants are hitting .320 against him over the span of 100 at bats. Marlon Byrd has homered once, Brandon Crawford and Justin Maxwell both have the most hits with five. Buster Posey owns four hits in 13 at bats, Nori Aoki has four hits in six at bats.
San Francisco is throwing veteran bulldog Jake Peavy. He's 4-6 with a 4.21 ERA in 12 starts. In road starts the Peavy is 1-4 on the year with a 4.54 ERA over 33 2/3 innings, where opponents have been hitting .246 against him. For what it's worth, current Dodgers own an average of .189 against him over 122 at bats. Adrian Gonzalez has two home runs, Carl Crawford has hit a home run off Peavy as well. Crawford also has seven hits, Andre Ethier has five hits, but it's come over 35 at bats.
The game has the chance to be low-scoring, this series should be a good one. Los Angeles has a great chance to win the next two, this is the best chance the Giants have to win a game in this series.

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
