Major League Baseball San Francisco Giants at Colorado Rockies Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Colorado Rockies host the San Francisco Giants tonight in Major League Baseball action on Friday. The game is scheduled for a 8:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv as well as both markets. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Giants favored to pick up the win.

San Francisco has won six games in a row, most recently sweeping the arch-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Now they will turn their attention to the Colorado Rockies, a team that consistently can't seem to figure it out despite having a ton of talent on the roster.

The Rockies once again find themselves in a tough spot, sitting eight games under the .500 mark (15-23) and already eight games behind the Dodgers in the National League West. Colorado is just 6-11 in home games this season and they've been out-scored by 45 runs in their 38 games. Not good.

San Francisco gives the ball to Ryan Vogelsong. He's 2-2 with a 5.31 ERA so far this year but has really struggled on the road. He's posted a 10.06 ERA in those games on the road, going just 1-2 overall in three starts while allowing 19 earned runs in 17 innings. Current Rockies own an average of .269 against him in 119 plate appearances, but has given up 11 home runs. Wilin Rosario has homered three times off him while Michael McKenry, Corey Dickerson and Nolan Arenado have all hit two bombs off Vogelsong. On the opposite end, Troy Tulowitzki is 0-for-10.

The Rockies will throw Kyle Kendrick, he's 1-5 with a 6.70 ERA. Current Giants are hitting .230 against him, but it's worth noting that Kendrick is 0-1 in two starts at home this season with a 9.00 ERA. He's thrown 12 innings and allowed 15 hits, 12 earned runs and five home runs at home. Yuck.

There should be some runs tonight. Colorado and San Francisco both have a decent shot at winning. We'll take the Giants and their ability to remain hot.

Movie NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
