The Major League Baseball season will continue this evening with a matchup in the National League Central between the Milwaukee Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals. The game is scheduled for a 7:45 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv and FOX Sports 1. Currently the MLB Odds for the contest have the Cardinals and Brewers each listed as a toss up to be favored.
MLB Odds
Milwaukee -110, St. Louis -110
Total: O 7.5 runs (-105), U 7.5 runs (-115)
I'm going to be backing the Milwaukee Brewers on the road tonight in St. Louis. Milwaukee is red hot right now, winners of six straight games overall, including a sweep of the Cleveland Guardians. The Brewers are winning low-scoring games as well, averaging just under four runs in those victories.
The Brewers are 21 games over the .500 mark at this point and they are really solid on the road at 35-28 to date. Tobias Myers (6-5, 2.81) gets the ball tonight. He's not a big strikeout guy but has a real solid resume on the road so far this year, spinning a 2.57 ERA over nine starts and 49 innings.
Kyle Gibson (7-5, 4.26) pitches for the Cardinals. He's at 4.73 for an ERA at home this year in 11 starts. The Cardinals have dropped two in a row and eight of the last 10 games overall.
The price is interesting given where both teams are, but I'm taking the Brewers.
