Major League Baseball Houston Astros at Seattle Mariners Start Time, Odds

The Houston Astros are on the road tonight in Major League Baseball action when they take on the Seattle Mariners. The game is scheduled for a 10:10 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv. Currently the odds for the game have the Astros favored to pick up the win on the road in this one.

Houston has been the surprise of the season so far. The Astros are the only team in the American League to reach the 40-win plateau and they lead the AL West by 3.5 games over Texas. The road record had been good for Houston, who also is nine games above the .500 mark, despite their group of youngsters.

Houston has also won five straight and gives the ball to Lance McCullers tonight. McCullers is 3-1 with a 2.00 ERA, having not given up four runs in any start this season. McCullers just pitched against Seattle in his last start as well, going five full innings without allowing a run. He walked four, though, while striking out four as well.

Seattle has not lived up to expectations this year. They trail Houston by 9.5 games already this season and can't seem to get it figured out. Seattle is seven games under the .500 mark and they've been out-scored by 50 runs this season.

Tonight the Mariners give the ball to Roenis Elias. He's been stable this season with his 3.67 ERA over 61 innings this season, but his record is just 3-4. Elias could be a guy that goes out tonight and stops the losing streak, but he's going to need some offense behind him. In 10 starts this season the Mariners have scored just 24 runs in Elias starts. That has to improve if the Mariners are going to have a shot tonight.

Houston is averaging nearly nine runs per game in their recent five-game winning streak.

Movie Betting and Winning in the WNBA

According to pro handicapper Steve Fezzik, you don't even need to watch WNBA games to successfully bet the sport. He tells fellow handicapper Teddy Covers that the sportsbooks simply don't spend enough time setting good lines on the sport, so just following injury reports, like the one with top player Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury, will tell you what you need to know. Yes, the betting limits for WNBA are low, but the bright side to that is the wise guys leave WNBA alone, giving smaller stakes bettors more opportunities to succeed.
