Tonight the Major League Baseball All-Star Game takes place. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be shown live on FOX. The odds for the game have the National League favored to win and earn home field advantage in the World Series. The Major League Baseball All-Star Game Starting Lineups are listed below.

American    National
OrderPlayerTeamPositionOrderPlayerTeamPosition
1 Mike Trout Angels LF 1 Brandon Phillips Reds 2B
2 Robinson Canó Yankees 2B 2 Carlos Beltrán Cardinals RF
3 Miguel Cabrera Tigers 3B 3 Joey Votto Reds 1B
4 Chris Davis Orioles 1B 4 David Wright Mets 3B
5 José Bautista Blue Jays RF 5 Carlos González Rockies LF
6 David Ortiz Red Sox DH 6 Yadier Molina Cardinals C
7 Adam Jones Orioles CF 7 Troy Tulowitzki Rockies SS
8 Joe Mauer Twins C 8 Michael Cuddyer Rockies DH
9 J. J. Hardy Orioles SS 9 Bryce Harper Nationals CF
Max Scherzer Tigers P   Matt Harvey Mets P

Scherzer and Harvey have both been spot-on to this point in the season and were pretty easy picks by their respective managers. Harvey also was the sympathy pick by Bruce Bochy, skipper of the National League. This game is being played at Citi Field in New York, home of the Mets. Makes sense. Detroit skipper Jim Leyland is running the American League team tonight and picked arguably his best starter to this point in the season in Scherzer.

Odds for the game have the National League favored. The current odds for the game are:

American League    +125     +1.5 (-180)        Over 8 (-110)
National League       -122      -1.5 (+160)       Under 8 (-110)

The National League has won the last three All-Star games. Prior to that the American League had dominated, winning the previous seven games overall. Before that was the infamous "tie" played in Milwaukee. In case you're wondering, the American League holds the advantage 42-38-2.
