The Kent State Golden Flashes and Toledo Rockets meet up tonight in MAC College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Rockets favored by a solid margin in this contest.

Both Toledo and Kent State are battling to win their respective divisions in the MAC. Currently Toledo sits in first place in the West division with an 8-3 record, giving them a full game lead over Central Michigan. Kent State is in second place in the MAC East behind both Bowling Green and Akron. Tonight's game is huge for both clubs, but the Rockets do have an advantage here.

Toledo has ripped off six straight wins in conference, posting an average of 78 points per game, picking up a 92-88 win on the road at Buffalo the other day as well. Kent State lost their most recent game on the road at Akron and they've dropped three of the last four overall as well. 

Kent State is not a powerful offensive team, averaging just 64.5 points per game on the season. They shoot the basketball at a 42.7 percent clip and they are led in scoring by Jimmy Hall and his 15 points a game. Two other players for the Golden Flashes average double figures but after that it really drops off.

Toledo has four players averaging double digits, led by Julius Brown with 16.7 points per game. Justin Drummond and J.D. Weatherspoon both average better than a dozen per game as well. Toledo is playing very well right now and a win tonight would give them some more cushion in the MAC West. 

Tonight the Rockets take advantage of their home court, where they've posted a record of 9-3 this season.
