Los Angeles Clippers vs Golden State Warriors Game 6 NBA Playoffs, Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs continues on Thursday night and we will see Los Angeles Clippers travel to Oracle Arena in Oakland, California to take on the Golden State Warriors in game 6 of their best-of-seven series. The game has a start time of 10:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Vegas odds have the Clippers listed as 1.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 209.5.

Stat Packs: The LA Clippers came into the playoffs as the 3rd seed and on Tuesday night they shook off the Donald Sterling distraction to win the pivotal game 5 and take a 3-2 lead in the series. The Clippers still have now won 23 of their last 30 games and they have gone 24-19 on the road this year, but they have gone just 1-6 in their last 7 road games vs the Warriors. Offensively they came into the playoffs as the top scoring team in the league and they come into this one as the 3rd ranked scoring offense in the playoffs, averaging 110.2 ppg so far.  In the playoffs, Blake Griffin leads the offense with 24.4 ppg, while Chris Paul (18.2 ppg), Jamal Crawford (15.2 ppg), JJ Reddick (13.0 ppg) and DeAndre Jordan (12.2 ppg) also average in double figures for the Clippers. Defensively the Clippers have allowed 101.0 ppg overall for the year, including 100.6 ppg at home, but vs the Warriors they have allowed 104.8 ppg so far.

The Golden State Warriors have reached the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since 1991 and 1992, but they are now on the verge of being ousted in the first round as they find themselves down 3 games to 2.  The Warriors have gone 28-15 SU at home this year and they are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 Conference Quarterfinal games. Golden State averaged 104.3 ppg during the regular season, and has scored 104.8 pg in this series so far. During the playoffs the offense has been led by Steph Curry, who has averaged 20.8 ppg, while Klay Thompson (18.2 ppg), David Lee (15.2 ppg) and Andre Iguodala (12.63 ppg) round out the top 4 scorers on the team. At the defensive end of the floor the Warriors were solid during the regular season, ranking 10th in points allowed (99.5 ppg), 4th in defensive FG% (43.6%), but the high powered Clippers have scored 110.2 ppg on 47.4% shooting vs them in the playoffs so far.

Pick: Going with the Clippers to close out this series tonight. If there was every a team that needed a break and a few extra days off it is the Clippers and that has me expecting their best effort tonight so they can close out the series and get a break. The Clippers are clearly the better team and they are playing with a chip on their shoulders right now. That makes them very dangerous and once again the Warriors are in a bad spot here. Look for the Clippers to pull away late for a rather easy win.
