The Chargers being favored here showcases how bad the Cowboys have been the past couple weeks. No Ezekiel Elliott is really proving to be a problem and the offensive line is so banged up that Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram should have a field day. Bosa has 10.5 sacks on the season and Ingram has eight and a half, the one-two punch should provide a real boost for the Chargers in this one.
Dak Prescott can obviously make plays with his feet as well, but having a legitimate running game can help alleviate the pass rush. Alfred Morris and Rod Smith aren’t going to cut it for the Cowboys, meaning Prescott is going to have to throw the football quite a bit.
The Cowboys just got drilled by Philly, the Chargers just made easy work of the Bills. But as long as Philip Rivers is the quarterback of the Bolts, it seems like they are always going to be playing in close games late. This year alone, Los Angeles has five losses by a single possession. This is a game they can win, but the Chargers are going to have to run the football.
Melvin Gordon can create huge chunks of yards when he has the football in space and Keenan Allen has already been targeted 92 times this season, hauling in 56 catches — more than 30 over the second-closest on the squad (Gordon, 35).
The Chargers are favored here on the road, which is a bit of a surprise in Dallas. But with how bad the Cowboys are banged up in key spots, the pass rush for LA is going to be the difference.
