The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders conclude their season series this afternoon when they meet at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland, California. Today's showdown between the two bitter AFC West rivals has a scheduled start time of 4:05pm ET; the game will be broadcast live on CBS. Sunday NFL Odds are favoring the visiting Chiefs at -6 against the spread; the Over/Under is set at 42 points.

Many had their doubts about the Chiefs, even after the team's 9-0 start, and the skeptics questions were seemingly confirmed when KC dropped three games in a row to divisional competition.

Despite their dip, the Chiefs may actually be a better team right now as its offense is starting to become something more than a clock eating aid to the defense.

Kansas City demonstrated as much on Sunday when it snapped out of its funk with a 45-10 blistering of the reeling Redskins. The Chiefs special teams, which have been special all season long, played no small part in the win, but KC's offense churned out 193 rush yards on 38 carries while Alex Smith completed 70-percent of his passes and threw for two touchdowns.

As for the Raiders, It would be difficult for them to perform more poorly than they did in their October 13th meeting with the Chiefs, but their recent track record certainly points toward another loss.

Oakland, which had three turnovers and nine sacks allowed in their 24-7 loss at Arrowhead, has lost five of its last six games to fall to 4-9 overall and it is 0-2 in its last two home games.

The Raiders have, for the most part, been competitive in defeat, though, as the Eagles were the only team to really embarrass them since their first showdown with the Chiefs. Nonetheless, the league is not about avoiding utter humiliation, it is about winning and that is something Oakland has difficulty doing, regardless of where the game is played.

Notable Trends: The Chiefs are 8-2 both straight up and against the spread in their last 10 games at Oakland.
