The Indianapolis Colts, a perennial playoff team under the direction of Peyton Manning, did not fare well without their leader last season, finishing with a league worst 2-14 record. With Manning now in Denver, most are expecting the Colts to struggle again this season. The addition of Andrew Luck has at least one book maker expecting more than two wins, though. Still, Indy is a long shot to win the AFC Championship and AFC South, drawing +5000 for the former and +1500 for the latter. The Colts Super Bowl Odds are not good either with Indianapolis listed at +10000 odds to win the Lombardi Trophy next year.
There were few shining moments in the Colts miserable 2011 campaign, but the mood around the franchise has not been one of doom and gloom in the lead up to the 2012 season. That has a great deal to do with the selection of Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck with the first overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Few players have been lauded like Luck, and he is viewed as an immediate impact performer. His presence, along with the addition of several free agents, including center Samson Satele and defensive end Cory Redding, has Cantor Gaming looking for more than two wins out of the Colts.
