The ninth-ranked Houston Cougars are on the road tonight in college basketball action, taking on the Connecticut Huskies. Houston remains a tough squad with only one loss on the season. The Cougars are now on an 8-game win streak and outside of a season-finale against Cincinnati, they won’t play another ranked team the remainder of the season.

Houston plays defense, rebounds the basketball well and can score at better than 75 per contest. When they are hosting opponents right around 60 points per game, getting to 75 points sounds like a good idea. Only two guys (Corey Davis Jr. and Armoni Brooks) average double digits per game, but it hasn’t been an issue yet for Houston.

UConn is having a rough season. The Huskies are 4-7 in league play and just 13-11 overall. Losers of three of the last four games overall, UConn has troubles scoring consistently and in defensive terms, they give up too many points. Rebounding will be a key to this one as the Huskies aren’t very good in that aspect of the game and Houston is.

Jalen Adams is a 17-point per game scorer, hitting right around 50 percent of his shots this season. He’s going to have to carry UConn to any success here tonight, but that will be really tough given the Cougars defensive ways.
