Tonight at 6:50 PM Eastern time the 147th running of the Belmont Stakes will take place at Belmont Park in New York. Frosted is one of the contenders in this race and his betting odds have been installed at 5/1. He will start in the #6 slot and his prediction is below.
Frosted's Record: 2-4-0 in 8 Races. Trainer: Kiaran McLaughlin. Jockey: Joel Rosario. Sire: Tapit. Dam: Fast Cookie. Best Beyer Speed: 107
Joel Rosario will be riding frosted in this race. Joel comes in with 2023 career wins, including 64 this year. one of the leading riders in North America and a perennial Eclipse Award finalist, he won the 2014 Belmont Stakes and Jockey Club Gold Cup at Belmont Park on Tonalist, the 2013 Kentucky Derby on Orb, and the 2013 Dubai World Cup aboard Animal Kingdom. He is only the second jockey in history to win the Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup in the same year.
He is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, who comes in with 1272 career wins, including 49 this year. The year 2006 was a banner one for him as Invasor won the Breeders’ Cup Classic on the way to champion Older Male and Horse of the Year honors and Jazil captured the Belmont Stakes. McLaughlin also took the 2012 Coaching Club American Oaks (G1) at Belmont and the Alabama Stakes (G1) at Saratoga with Questing.
Frosted had a very good showing at the Grade 1 Wood Memorial and then followed that up with a 4th place finish in the Kentucky Derby. Now once again he he gets to work with Joel Rosario, who just may be the top jockey going right now. This is a dangerous horse and with a very confident jockey riding him and that may be what is needed to knock off American Pharoah.

Beating the Belmont for Beginners
Steve Fezzik and Teddy Covers are pro bettors, but both admit they aren't much for horse racing betting. They say that isn't a requirement to bet the Belmont though. Since American Pharoah is going for the Triple Crown, something we haven't seen since Affirmed in 1978, simply bet the field to win and you'll succeed. There have been 12 Triple Crown Contenders in the past 20 years and none of them have won, so the guys are more than comfortable to take the "no-win" bet on American Pharoah. Avoid the media hype about the special horse, there are too many horse "assassins" in the field and history shows it is a bad bet.
