Mountain West rivals Nevada and Air Force will meet for the first time tonight when they square off at Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs. Start time in this evening’s conference showdown is scheduled for 8:00pm ET on the CBS Sports Network. The latest College Football Nevada at Air Force Odds show the visiting Wolf Pack as a -3.5 against the spread road favorite while the Falcons are drawing +150 money line odds ($100 wins $150) to register their fifth win of the season. The total in tonight’s game is set at 66.5 points.

Every team in the Mountain West is chasing Boise State, but both Nevada and Air Force, along with San Diego State and Fresno State, are within striking distance of the Broncos.

The Wolf Pack suffered their first conference loss last weekend, losing 39-38 in overtime against the visiting Aztecs of San Diego State. The setback dropped Nevada’s record to 6-2 and brought its league record to 3-1.

The odds makers were undeterred by the loss, though, as Nevada comes into tonight’s game a 3.5 point road favorite. The Wolf Pack are a perfect 4-0 away from home this season with wins over California, Hawaii, Texas State, and UNLV. And their offense, which is averaging 40.6 points and 541 yards per game, should have success against an Air Force defense that ranks 86th in total defense (427.4 yards per game allowed) and 111th in rush defense (222 rush yards per game allowed).

Air Force, after a rocky 1-2 start, has since won three of its last four games, beating Colorado State, Wyoming, and New Mexico. The Falcons did fall victim to a visiting Navy team in that stretch as the Midshipmen left Colorado Springs with a 28-21 overtime win on October 6th.

The Middies provided a nice blue print for the Wolf Pack, rushing for 285 yards (5.3 ypc) and forcing three Falcon turnovers to secure the upset victory.

Free Pick: Take Nevada -3.5. Air Force is an improving team, but it has progressed against a list of suspect opponents. Granted, Nevada has not faced a group of world beaters, but its offense, particularly its ground attack, should have its way with the Falcons leaky defense.
