FIFA Women's World Cup United States vs Sweden Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The FIFA Women's World Cup continues tonight with the favorited United States set to take on the Sweden in the third scheduled game of the day. The match is scheduled for a 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the odds for the match have the Americans as the listed favorite to pick up the win.

United States vs. Sweden Odds

Spread Moneyline Total Goals

United States

 -1.5 (+115)  -250 OVER 3 (-112)
Sweden  +1.5 (-135)  +450 UNDER 3 (-108)
Draw    +350

Former United States coach Pia Sundhage takes over her native country in this World Cup. She won an Olympic Gold Medal leading the Americans to victory in London, but she's been critical of the Americans leading into this match tonight. While that might be an uplifting tactic for her team, it's probably not wise to go after the favorites before having to play them.

The United States was sloppy at times in their opening match against Australia, but cruised in the second half. Megan Rapinoe scored twice, Hope Solo was saving shots on target and the United States came away with three points.

Sweden stubbed their toes, drawing with Nigeria 3-3 in the opening match. That was huge for the Nigerians, but bad for Sweden, especially if the Nigerians are able to beat Australia today. Sweden, ranked fifth in the world FIFA rankings, could be in a very bad position after tonight's match with the Americans.

The USA players should react positively form Sundhage's comments and use it as motivation. This should be a well contested match on both ends of the pitch, but the Americans just have too much talent. Remember, Sweden beat the United States 2-1 in regulation time during group play in the last World Cup.

Movie Betting and Winning in the WNBA

According to pro handicapper Steve Fezzik, you don't even need to watch WNBA games to successfully bet the sport. He tells fellow handicapper Teddy Covers that the sportsbooks simply don't spend enough time setting good lines on the sport, so just following injury reports, like the one with top player Diana Taurasi of the Phoenix Mercury, will tell you what you need to know. Yes, the betting limits for WNBA are low, but the bright side to that is the wise guys leave WNBA alone, giving smaller stakes bettors more opportunities to succeed.
