FIFA Women's World Cup Knockout Stage Japan vs Netherlands Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The FIFA Women's World Cup Knockout Stage continues this afternoon when the reigning champions of Japan take on Netherlands in the only match tonight. The match is scheduled for an 10:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. Currently the betting odds for the match have the Japenese favored to pick up the win and advance.

Japan vs. Netherlands Betting Odds

Spread Moneyline Total Goals

Japan

 -0.5 (-115)  -115 OVER 1.5, 2 (-126)
Netherlands  +0.5 (-105)  +290 UNDER 1.5, 2 (+106)
Draw    +205

Japan, the reigning World Cup title holders, look to continue their match into the quarterfinals tonight. Netherlands is a tough matchup, though, and this match will certainly be an entertaining one.

The Dutch scored just two goals in their three group stages, but only allowed two goals as well. The Netherlands picked up a 1-0 win over New Zealand to open the World Cup but then lost to China and drew with Canada. While that group wasn't the toughest those were three tough matches for Netherlands, which should get them ready to take on Japan tonight.

The Japanese won all three of their matches in groups, out-scoring their opponents 4-1. The only team to score on Japan was Cameroon, which is now out of the tournament after a 1-0 loss in knockouts to China.

Four different players have scored for Japan this World Cup as Aya Miyama, Aya Sameshima, Yuika Sugasawa and Yuki Ogimi all have one tally. The Japanese played three tough matches where every minute seemed to be important, which could help them moving forward in knockouts.

With the total goals at just two, this match will be about possession and Japan will win that battle.
