Brazil has won each of their first two matches to date, giving them six points and propelling them to the knockouts. The Brazilians own victories over South Korea and Spain so far in Group play and although they only have three tallies so far, Brazil is the only team not to have allowed a goal.
Costa Rica sits in second place with two points in the Group stages, a loss could hurt them here with South Korea and Spain playing tonight. A victory by either of those other two teams could become a problem for Costa Rica, unless they find a way to draw in this match against Brazil and get lucky enough to advance.
Brazil has nothing to lose here, they're onto the next round. Whether they play a full style attack the entire match or not is anybody's guess, but it's also probable they play a slower style and just make it though. Costa Rica will be pressing the entire match, if they can get one early, it will be huge for them. If they allow a counter attack back from Brazil, it could spell trouble.
