The Duke Blue Devils will look to secure a spot in the ACC Championship Game today but they must beat the hated North Carolina Tar Heels in order to do so. This afternoon's meeting between Duke and North Carolina is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00pm ET at Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill; the game will be broadcast live on ESPN2. Duke is a having an unbelievable season and it is on a similar roll entering today's showdown with UNC, having won seven straight games, including notable victories against Virginia Tech and Miami, to earn the top spot in the ACC Coastal Division standings.

Three of Duke's last seven wins have also come on their road they defeated Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest.

However, despite the Blue Devils exploits, the odds makers and betting public are in the Tar Heels corner this afternoon.

North Carolina brings an unexpected 6-5 record into today's game, which is a disappointment as many believed it had enough talent to contend for the division title. A 1-5 start ruined that opportunity, but the Tar Heels have not let it ruin their season.

North Carolina enters today's game having won five straight, but it should be noted most of those wins came against poor to middling clubs like Boston College, North Carolina State, and Old Dominion.

The Tar Heels went 0-3 against what most consider the Coastal Division's best teams, falling 20-28 to Georgia Tech, 17-27 to Virginia Tech, and 23-27 to Miami. Can they bring that string today? Most believe they will. North Carolina is 7-1 in its last eight meetings with Duke; however, the Blue Devils did prevail 33-30 when the two rival hooked up in Durham last season.

Notable Trends: UNC is 5-0 both straight up and against the spread in its last five games as a home favorite with a spread between 4 and 7.5 points against an ACC opponent.
