Denver Broncos 2012 NFL Predictions and Super Bowl Odds

The Denver Broncos made the most improbable run to the playoffs last season, a development that could only be topped by the team’s subsequent offseason pursuit and acquisition of quarterback Peyton Manning. It is that move that has many, including the odds makers, forecasting big things for the Broncos this season. Denver Broncos 2012 NFL Predictions have the team listed at +600 odds ($100 to win $600) to win the AFC Championship and +165 odds ($100 to win $165) to successfully defend its AFC West title. The latest Super Bowl Odds are also high on the Broncos with Denver drawing +1800 odds to take home the Lombardi Trophy in 2013.

Denver, despite a sub-par offense and a defense which yielded an average of 24.4 points per game, won the AFC West last year and even stunned the Steelers in a Wild Card playoff game at Sports Authority Field. Had the Broncos stood pat in the off-season, it seems unlikely that they would have been able to duplicate last year’s success.

Denver made a major move, though, signing Peyton Manning in the hopes that the four time MVP can return to form after sitting out all of last season with a neck injury. If the latest offshore odds are any indication, Manning will, indeed, have a positive impact on the Broncos.

Offshore odds maker Sportsbook.ag has Denver favored to win Over 8.5 games at -145 odds. Vegas based Cantor Gaming is not as certain, though. Cantor, which released point spreads for weeks one through 16 of the 2012 NFL regular season schedule, has the Broncos listed as a favorite in just seven games.
