The victory, which featured a staggering 20 hits from the Red Sox, improved the team’s record to 46-33 and maintained its 2.5 game lead over the Yankees and Orioles in the AL East standings.

The 12 year veteran allowed nine hits and four earned runs over five innings in a 1-5 loss to the Nationals; however, he also struck out an astounding 11 batters in the relatively short appearance.
