The Nebraska Cornhuskers are hosting the Wyoming Cowboys in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a noon start time where it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the college football odds on the game have the Cornhuskers favored by a comfortable margin to pick up the win.

Nebraska and Wyoming met on the field a couple of years ago in a game where no defense was played. Each team posted better than 525 yards of offense in a 37-34 Nebraska win. 

The Cornhuskers struggled in the opening half of last week’s win over Fresno State, but had an impressive second half to get the job done, covering a big 29-point number. It’s worth noting the Huskers are 11-5 against the number the last three seasons in non-conference action, but last year they covered just one chance out of four games.

Mike Riley’s team has Oregon on deck next week, which could play a major role in this one. If Nebraska gets caught looking ahead it could be a problem for those looking to lay the big number.

Wyoming is coming off a 40-34 win over Northern Illinois, a game that battled delays and didn’t get over until well into the morning hours. That might cause some fatigue here, but Nebraska will need to avoid the look-ahead here.
