College Football Vegas Odds Nevada Wolf Pack vs Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Free Pick

College football week 9 and the Nevada Wolf Pack will travel to Aloha Stadium to take on the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. The game has a start time of 12:00 am (Eastern) and will be televised on Oceanic Pay-Per-View. Current Vegas odds have the Wolf Pack listed as 3 point favorites, while the total is set at 53.5.

Analysis: The Nevada Wolf Pack come in off a very impressive road win over the BYU Cougars. That win has Nevada at 4-3 overall, but they are still just 1-2 in the MWC, which puts them in 5th place in the West Division. The Wolf Pack are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games as favorites after scoring 35 or more points and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 games in October but they are also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games. This is a very average offensive team that ranks 68th in total yards, 61st in passing, 59th in rushing and 65th in scoring (30.4 ppg). The defense is where this team really has struggled this year, ranking 117th in total yards allowed, 125th vs the pass, 67th vs the run and 77th in points allowed (27.7 ppg).

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors are not having a good year as they come in at 2-5 overall and 1-1 in the MWC. The good news here may be the fact that their two wins on the year have come at home. Hawaii is 5-2 ATS the last 7 in the series and they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games after scoring 10 points or less, but they are also 2-9-1 ATS in their last 12 games in October. This is not a good offensive team as they come in ranked 110th in total yards, 93rd in passing, 82nd in rushing and 112th in scoring (21 ppg). Defensively they have been very average, ranking 59th in yards allowed, 74th vs the pass, 51st vs the run and 59th in points allowed (25.1 ppg).

Pick: I like the Wolf Pack in this one. Hawaii is not a very good offensive team, as they come in averaging just 21 ppg on the year, while Nevada comes in putting up 30.4 ppg on the year, including 37.3 ppg in their last 3 games. Neither team has great defense, but the Nevada offense is clicking and they are playing with much confidence after a huge win over BYU on the road last week. Nevada cannot afford a letdown here and should grab a win of at least a TD.
