The Troy Trojans travel to take on the South Alabama Jaguars in college football action on Friday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on ESPNu. Currently the odds for the game have the Jaguars favored by almost two touchdowns.

South Alabama has already picked up three wins in the Sun Belt this season, coming in each of their last three games as well — beating Idaho, Appalachian State and Georgia State with a bye week in there. The Jaguars have had no problems scoring points in those three games as well, averaging 37 points per game in those wins.

Troy has only one win this season, beating New Mexico State a couple of weeks ago at home. They followed that up last week, however, by getting drilled at home by Appalachian State. South Alabama was able to beat App State by nearly four touchdowns.

This game could be bad for the Trojans — Troy gives up an average of almost 41 points per game. Offensively they haven't been very good at all this season, scoring less than three touchdowns per game. Troy has beaten South Alabama both times in this series, however, so they could come inspired and ready to go in this game tonight.

Brandon Silvers has thrown only five TD passes for the Trojans. They can't run the football very well, either, ranking 101st in the country in yards on the ground per game. 

South Alabama got a huge win last week over Georgia State, getting an 18-yard TD pass from Brandon Bridge to Danny Woodson with just over 4:00 left in the game. Bridge is a dual-threat guy that is going to cause the Trojan defense some problems. When the Jaguars have the football they'll be able to put up points.

Without Troy being able to string together first downs and putting points on the board, this could be a long game. Look for the Jaguars to have a solid game here at home as they continue to roll in the Sun Belt.
