College Football Texas A&M Aggies at Auburn Tigers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

Unable to Stop Nick Marshall, Johnny Manziel Poses Major Challenge for Rebels

The Auburn Tigers host the Texas A&M Aggies in SEC college football action Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have Auburn favored by better than three touchdowns in this one.

Just another bigtime SEC matchup on Saturday. Texas A&M started out as one of the hottest teams in the country this season, blazing through their first five games of the season and moving into the Top 10 nationally. Then three straight games against Mississippi State, Ole Miss and Alabama brought the Aggies back down to Earth pretty quick. They were drilled 59-0 by Alabama in that final game in the brutal three-loss stretch and didn't rebound well the next game, nearly losing at home to Louisiana-Monroe last week, 21-16.

Auburn lost to Mississippi State not too long ago, but they've rebounded to pick up wins over South Carolina and Ole Miss in impressive fashion. Had Laquon Treadwell not gotten hurt last week as he was looking to score a touchdown, however, the Tigers could have a second loss. But either way, the Tigers now march on and take to the field looking to continue to put up points and play solid on defense.

Gus Malzahn's team averages nearly 39 points per game this season, which ranks 14th best in the country. The defense has also been good this season, giving up just 22 points per game. The last two games have seen South Carolina put up 35 and Ole Miss put up 31, however. Texas A&M will once again have Kenny Hill on the bench due to a two-game suspension this week, meaning they will go with the freshman Kyle Allen, who didn't do much last week over Monroe.

Auburn's defense will be ready to go and it should be a long game for Allen, who got sacked three times last week. The Tigers defense has already forced opponents into 18 turnovers this season and sacked quarterbacks 16 times.

Nick Marshall should be able to move the football for the Tigers, as well. He scored four touchdowns in last week's win and has 22 for the season. Auburn hasn't tasted defeat on their home field yet this season and it's going to take a monumental effort from the Aggie defense for that to happen here. Texas A&M does get after the quarterback pretty good with 30 sacks on the season, but with Marshall scooting around and getting out of the pocket early it's going to be tough.

Auburn is just too tough. Texas A&M looked very good a month ago, but today not so much. Kevin Sumlin's team will struggle in this one and Auburn being favored by better than three touchdowns tells the story already.

Free Pick: Auburn 49, Texas A&M 24
