Conference USA rivals Tulsa and Marshall will butt heads today as the Golden Hurricane attempt to extend their current win streak to five games. This College Football Saturday tilt has a scheduled start time of 3:30pm ET at Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia; it will be broadcast live on the CBS Sports Network. Tulsa vs Marshall Odds have the visitors listed as a -3.5 against the spread favorite and the game total set at 68.5 points.
Tulsa opened its season with a 23-38 loss at Iowa State but it has since reeled off four straight wins, topping Tulane, Nicholls State, Fresno State, and UAB. Today it will look to improve to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
The Golden Hurricane, who is playing the second of back to back road games, recorded 29 first downs and 478 total yards in beating the Blazers 49-42 in Birmingham last weekend. Tulsa figures to post similar numbers this afternoon against Marshall’s porous defense.
The Thundering Herd, who fell to 2-3 with last weekend’s 41-51 loss at Purdue, have held just two opponents under 50 points this season. Marshall’s defense presently ranks 119th in the FBS, giving up an average of 495.8 yards per game and it has never yielded fewer than 31 points in three meetings with Tulsa.
The Golden Hurricane are 3-0 straight up but 1-2 against the spread in this series; however, today marks the first occasion Tulsa has not been a double digit favorite opposite Marshall.
Tulsa vs Marshall College Football Odds:
Tulsa Golden Hurricane -3.5 (-110), Over 68.5 (-110), -175 (Moneyline)
Marshall Thundering Herd +3.5 (-110), Under 68.5 (-110), +155 (Moneyline)
