The troubled but undefeated TCU Horned Frogs will look to keep their perfect record intact today when they host the Iowa State Cyclones at Amon G. Carter Stadium (3:30pm ET start time). College Football Saturday odds have the hosting Frogs listed as a -7 against the spread home favorite; however, that number has dropped several points since TCU announced the suspension of quarterback Casey Pachall earlier this week. This afternoon’s game total is set at 41 points.

Though undefeated and ranked 15th in the latest poll, TCU has not been overly impressive this season; the Horned Frogs have struggled to put points on the scoreboard since their 56-0 drubbing of Grambling State. Gary Patterson’s squad has tallied just 71 points in its last three games and it has done so against the less than stellar lineup of Kansas, Virginia, and SMU.

TCU’s offensive woes should be pronounced this afternoon with junior quarterback Casey Pachall suspended indefinitely for his DWI arrest earlier this week. Pachall was the Horned Frogs biggest bright spot on offense and he will be replaced by a redshirt freshman in Trevone Boykin who has thrown 10 passes in his collegiate career.

Boykin will have to contend with an underrated Iowa State team that has limited its opposition to an average of 14 points and 308.8 yards per game on the season.

The routinely dismissed Cyclones have enough talent to pull off the upset this afternoon and they are easily TCU’s toughest opponent to date. However, in order for Iowa State to stun the Frogs, they must take better care of the football. The Cyclones have been sound fundamentally under the direction of Paul Rhoads, but they are -5 in turnover margin this season after coughing up the ball four times in last weekend’s 24-13 loss to Texas Tech.

Iowa State vs TCU College Football Odds:

Iowa State Cyclones +7 (-110), Over 41 (-110), +235 (Moneyline)

TCU Horned Frogs -7 (-110), Under 41 (-110), -280 (Moneyline)
