Fresno State will seek its third win of the season tonight when it meets the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at H.A. Chapman Stadium in Oklahoma (8:00pm ET start time, CBS Sports Network). College Football Saturday Fresno State at Tulsa Odds have the hosting Golden Hurricane listed as a -6.5 against the spread favorite; tonight’s game total is set at 68 points. The Bulldogs are a +205 money line play ($100 wins $205) to win this evening’s contest outright.

After a solid showing in Eugene, Oregon, the Bulldogs returned home last weekend and put an epic beating on the reeling Colorado Buffaloes. Fresno State smoked CU 69-14 to improve to 2-1 on the season and 3-1 under new head coach Tim DeRuyter (DeRuyter coached Texas A&M to a 33-22 bowl victory over Northwestern last year).

The Bulldogs produced an amazing 665 total yards in whipping the Buffaloes and quarterback Derek Carr turned in another outstanding performance, throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns.

Carr and company may need a similar effort tonight. Tulsa, which is known for its offensive fireworks, has totaled 111 points in its last two games, stomping Tulane 45-10 and FCS school Nicholls State 66-16.

Junior quarterback Cody Green appears as though he will do an adequate job replacing the always reliable G.J. Kinnie under center. Through three games Green has thrown for 602 yards and six scores.

Tonight marks the sixth meeting between these two schools. Fresno State owns a 4-1 advantage in the series, but the Golden Hurricane got the better of things the last time they hooked up, earning a 31-24 victory in the 2005 Liberty Bowl.
