Boise State is coming off a loss to Wyoming last time out, which drops them to 24th nationally in the new College Football Playoff rankings. They still have an opportunity for a successful season and if they win out and get some help, that success can be pretty strong.
San Jose State is not a good football team. The Spartans are 3-6 on the year and two of those wins have come in conference, beating both Nevada and UNLV. That win over the Rebels came last weekend where quarterback Kenny Potter threw for two touchdowns to lead the Spartans to the win.
Boise can run the football, but Brett Rypien can also sling it all over the yard as well. The sophomore signal caller has thrown for 15 touchdowns and more than 2,300 yards to date, though he will have to find a way into the end zone tonight. Last week against Wyoming was the first time this season Rypien failed to throw a TD pass.
Boise can either have a slump following the team’s first loss or they could bring a solid effort and really beat up on San Jose State.
