The Army West Point Black Knights are playing host to the Rice Owls in college football action Saturday. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised nationally on the CBS Sports Network. Currently the college football odds on the game have the Black Knights favored to pick up the win at home.

Army made a statement in last week’s win, going on the road and picking up a win at Temple. In typical fashion the Black Knights threw the football only five times, but they really didn’t need to. Army scored four touchdowns on the ground, including two in the fourth quarter that proved to be the difference.

Andy Davidson rumbled for 121 and two scores in the game, Army piled up 329 on the ground as well and averaged almost five yards per carry.

Defensively the Black Knights were strong as well, holding Temple to just 251 yards of total offense in the game. 

Rice was crushed by Western Kentucky in the opening weekend of the season, 46-14. The Hilltoppers dominated in every facet of the game to pick up the home win, Rice allowed Mike White to toss for 517 yards through the air, he also hurled three TD passes in the rout.

Rice has won four straight over Army in the series, but this one should be different. The Owls gave up so many yards last week it seems tough they will be able to slow down the Army attack.
