The Nebraska Cornhuskers are hosting the Purdue Boilermakers in college football action on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on ABC or ESPN2 depending on regional coverage. The college football odds for the game have the Cornhuskers favored by a comfortable margin to pick up the win.

Total: 61.5 points
Nebraska is going to crush Purdue. The Boilermakers just fired their coach and are a ship lost at sea, having gone just 9-33 under Darrell Hazell. Nebraska is on the opposite side of these waters, having risen all the way to No. 8 in the Associated Press rankings and looking for more.
The Cornhuskers actually lost to Purdue last season, a game where they gave up 55 points despite out-gaining the Boilers. So now we have a Top 10 team, at home, with some revenge against team that just fired their coach.
Purdue is a mess, even their three victories have been ugly. The Boilers have given up more than 1,000 yards on the ground through just three Big Ten games this season, so Nebraska will no doubt look to attack on the ground in this one.
Nebraska can certainly gain on their 4.7 yards per carry average here. Tommy Armstrong Jr. leads the club with five scores on the ground and his ability at quarterback will be big for the Huskers here. He hasn’t been the best passer in the country by any means, but with success on the ground in this game, he should be able to find open receivers as the Boilers attempt to stop the run.
Purdue has nothing left to play for and the Huskers cannot have a letdown here.
