An ACC rivalry tilt between North Carolina and Wake Forest is slated for this afternoon with the two schools scheduled to meet at Groves Stadium in Winston-Salem (3:00pm ET start time). Wake Forest also squared off against an FCS opponent in week one, but it was not nearly as impressive, garnering a 20-17 win over Liberty. The Demon Deacons were outgained by the Flames 363 to 293 and they averaged a meager 2.6 yards per carry in the less than inspired performance.

Wake figured to struggle some this season with just four offensive starters back from last year’s 6-7 team, but the Demon Deacon faithful had better pray the team was playing possum last weekend. If Saturday’s game contained even a glimmer of real effort and game planning, the Demon Deacons are about to receive a major thrashing in front of their home crowd, similar to the 24-49 spanking they suffered at North Carolina last season.
