College Football Picks Washington Huskies vs Oregon State Beavers

Pac-12 football on Saturday night and we will see the Washington Huskies travel to Corvallis, Oregon to take on the Oregon State Beavers. The game has a start time of 10:30 pm (Eastern) and be will televised on ESPN 2. Vegas odds have Washington listed as 1.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 60.

Analysis: The Huskies were once ranked No. 15 in the country, but the bottom has fallen out as they are just 6-4 overall after a 41-31 loss on the road against UCLA last Friday, which dropped them to 3-4 in league play. In the Loss to UCLA, Washington also saw starting QB Keith Price miss the entire second half with a shoulder injury. Price is listed as questionable for this contest. Stepping in for Price vs UCLA was Cyler Miles, who didn't play all that bad, throwing for 149 yards and two touchdowns on 15-of-22 passing. With uncertainty at QB the Huskies will rely even more on leading rusher Bishop Sankey, who has 1,396 yards and 14 Tds on the year. Jaydon Mickens (55 receptions, 643 yards, 5 TDs) and Kevin Smith (38 receptions, 608 yards, 3 TDs) are the top receiving options for the Huskies. On defense the Huskies rank fifth in the league in both scoring (23.7 ppg) and total defense (384.3 ypg).

After starting the season 6-1, Oregon State has dropped three in a row to fall out of the conference title hunt. The Beavers have averaged just over 14 points a game in their recent slide, but they still rank second in the nation in passing offense with 396.3 ypg. Sean Mannion has been tearing it up all year, completing 67.8% of his passes for 3,860 yards and 33 Tds. Brandin Cooks has been getting the bulk of Sean's passes this year, as he has hauled in 100 passes for 1,443 yards and 14 scores. Cooks leads the country in receptions and yards, while ranking second in the nation in touchdowns. On defense, the Beavers have struggled some as they have allowed 28 ppg and 387.8 ypg on the year.

Pick: I will go with the under in this one. The Washington defense has been tough this year and they will need that defense to win this one without Price in there,. That should also make Washington a bit more conservative. OSU's offense has taken a leave of absence as they have scored 17 or less in each of their last 3 games. This one could be played in the 40's
