Colorado, after two weeks off, returns to the gridiron this weekend as it faces Pac-12 rival Oregon State at Reser Stadium in Corvallis. Saturday's conference showdown between the Buffaloes and Beavers is scheduled to get underway at 3:00pm ET on the Pac-12 Network. Colorado was, arguably, the worst team in the FBS last season, finishing with a 1-11 record, but the team has an opportunity to produce a respectable 2013 campaign thanks to its 2-0 start.

The Buffaloes knocked off Colorado State 41-27 in their opener and they earned a 38-24 win over FBS school Central Arkansas on September 7th. Colorado's third game, a rematch with Fresno State (the Bulldogs destroyed the Buffs 69-14 last season), was postponed due to the floods in Boulder.

The extra time off may not have been ideal, but it did give Colorado and its new coaching staff a chance to thoroughly evaluate Oregon State.

The Beavers, a surprise 9-4 team last season, have been a bit of a disappointment through four games. While Oregon State is 3-1, its loss came to an FCS opponent in Eastern Washington and it won its two most recent outings by a combined seven points. Still, wins are wins and the Beavers earned those two on the road against quality teams.

With Oregon State returning home for the first time since September 7th, this weekend may be its best opportunity to become the team most thought it would be when the season kicked off.

Colorado has more talent than it demonstrated last year, and it has plenty of experience in its starting offensive and defensive units; however, the Beavers have more talent just as much experience. Oregon State owns match-up advantages all over the field and the final score should reflect as much.

Notable Trends: Colorado its 1-9 straight up and 2-8 against the spread in its last 10 games as a road dog with a total of 54.5 or more points. Oregon State is 4-1 both straight up and against the spread in its last five games as a home favorite with a spread between 11 and 13.5 points.
