Free College Football Picks: 3* Texas A&M (+13 ½): Oklahoma took out their frustrations of a home loss to Texas Tech with a 58-17 decapitation of a defensively sound Kansas State team.  They won the yardage 690-240, including 520 yards through the air.  It’s an easy leap to expect the Sooners to play with great emotion as they look to avenge a loss to A&M last year, redeem themselves for their PHL, and extend their record on this field to 20-10 ATS.  And why shouldn’t that happen against an Aggie secondary that allows 318 PY.  The main reason is that the Aggies are good.  It has been well-documented that this team does not play well with the lead.  They have already lost when leading Okla State, Arkansas, and, last week, Missouri in OT when holding the lead.  The other side of the coin is to consider they lost to those quality teams by only 1, 4, and 7 points. A main reason for this is that their own offense is balanced and explosive as well.  They average 39 PPG on 520 yards.  Expect A&M, with three losses, to match the Sooners intensity and play a competitive game.

Southern Mississippi (odds -8 ½) at East Carolina Start Time 4:00PM
College Football Pikc: 4* Southern Mississippi (-8 ½)Two weeks ago, I alerted you that this Southern Miss team was a serious SUPER SURGER.  After a 1-1 SU, 0-2 ATS beginning, they have reeled off a 6-0 SUATS mark, winning five of those games by 18+ points.  Don’t expect East Carolina to stand in their way. I’m well aware that the Pirates possess a dominant aerial threat behind veteran QB Davis. He has passed for 1,006 yards in the last three weeks.  But that was against the defensive sieve known as Tulane, Navy and Memphis.  He was held in check by VA Tech and South Carolina, the only two quality pass defenses he has faced. But our real advantage in this game comes with a balanced, explosive Southern Miss offense that averages 36 PPG.  Most specifically, they have the advantage at the point of attack where they run for 216/5.1 against a Pirate defense that allows 187/4.7.  With the Golden Eagles on a major roll, expect them to dominate the Pirates overland and STEAMROLL them into submission.
