College Football Odds
Pittsburgh -5.5
Total: 60 points
Both Penn State and Pittsburgh picked up wins in their opening games, the Nittany Lions beat Kent State in a game where they weren’t exactly stellar. Pittsburgh beat Villanova in a non-interesting contest in Week 1, Nathan Peterman tossed for 175 yards and two scores in that one.
James Conner returned to college football following his beating cancer, Conner found the end zone though collectively Pitt did not run the football well for only 86 yards on 34 carries.
Penn State QB Trace McSorley tossed for 209 yards and two scores in the win over Kent State. Pitt will bring a much better defense to the game in this one and it’s worth noting the first half of last week’s game saw Penn State lead just 16-13.
The Nittany Lions took advantage of three turnovers and walked to a win in the second half. It’s going to take four full quarters of football in this brawl and Pitt gets an edge in playing at home, but too many points in this one.
