The USC Trojans welcome in the unbeaten Oregon State Beavers in college football action Saturday night. The game is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have the Trojans favored in this one by more than a touchdown.
This will be a very solid game between Pac-12 teams deep into Saturday night. The USC Trojans are back and relevant in college football again. They'll play host to the Oregon State club that has won all three games to start the season, but haven't played a conference game yet. Oregon State has been pretty solid, winning a couple of games at home, but this will clearly be their toughest test of the season. They've allowed opponents to score just 17 points per game this year. USC will be a much bigger problem.
The Trojans are coming into this one off a bye week, but did lose their last game on the road at Boston College. They got caught still riding high from a win at Stanford, but didn't take Boston College serious enough until they were behind and couldn't come back. Now the Trojans look to regroup against a tough Oregon State team that won't make it easy.
The home team has covered nine of the last 13 matchups in this series and picked up straight up wins in 11 of the last 13. The Trojans have picked up 10 of the last 14 in this series as well.
Oregon State QB Sean Mannion has a big arm and can put up points, but USC will be the best defense he and the Beavers have seen to this point.
USC will look for another big game from QB Cody Kessler, who threw four touchdowns in the loss to BC and has eight TDs on the season with no picks. USC should pick up a win as they are the better team, at home.
