The Wisconsin Badgers are hosting the Ohio State Buckeyes in a big showdown Saturday night in college football action. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. The college football odds for the game have the Buckeyes favored by double digits on the road.
College Football Odds
Ohio State -10.5
Total: 44.5 points
Wisconsin’s defense should be good enough to keep them hanging around in this game. The Badgers, much like Ohio State, are one of the better defenses in the country and are surrendering just 12.2 points per game to opponents, which trails only Florida (11.6), the Buckeyes (10.8) and Michigan’s 10.3 points per game to opponents this season.
Ohio State has struggled a bit with J.T. Barrett throwing the ball vertically down the field, but he is still one of the best players in the country. Barrett has been able to get away with some bad throws at times, but his 15-3 touchdown to interceptions is pretty solid and he’s been excellent in the run game as well with almost five yards per carry and four scores.
Camp Randall is going to be buzzing tonight as this is the biggest game there in some time. Everyone loves to jump around when Wisconsin plays at home and the defense is stingy enough to keep this one close.
The difference could come with the Badger offense, which will have to score points. Alex Hornibrook and the offense really struggled at Michigan the last game out, but a bye week in between games should help him improve.
Ohio State is still good enough to win the game, but they are going to get a great effort here from Wisconsin.
