There’s a lot of options here and Michigan is the only team that controls its own destiny in this playoff race, having already beaten Penn State.
Michigan State wants to run the ball and they picked up a win over Ohio State last season to keep the Buckeyes out of the playoffs. There’s definitely some revenge here for Urban Meyer’s team and they plan to look for some retribution here.
MSU’s defense has to play great and force J.T. Barrett to have to throw the football vertically down the field. The Buckeyes flourish when they run the read option and don’t have to get into downs where everyone knows they have to throw.
The only team to beat Ohio State twice under Urban Meyer is Michigan State. He’s 2-2 against the Spartans and 36-1 against the rest of the conference.
