Clint Trickett is quietly becoming a very dangerous QB, as he hit 35 of 40 pass in the game for 384 yards and 2 TDs. Clint has now hit 75% of his passes for the year for 713 yards and 3 TDs with no picks. His favorite target is Kevin White, who comes in with 244 yards receiving on 19 catches for the year. The Maryland Terrapins come in off a hard fought 24-17 road win over South Florida. The win now has the Terps at 2-0 on the year. The Terps really struggled on offense in the game vs the Bulls, as they were able to muster just 317 yards of total offense, while rushing for just 116 yards on 2.9 ypc. CJ Brown had an average game, hitting 17 of 28 passes for 201 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs. Overall the Terps has 6 turnovers in the game (4 Fumbles, 2 INTs). On the year CJ Brown has completed just 53.8% of his passes for 312 yards and 3 TDs, but he also has 3 rushing TDs on the year as well. Maryland comes in ranked 87th in total offense (394 ypg) and 44th in scoring (38.0 ppg), while their defense has been very solid, ranking 25th in total defense (279.5 ypg) and 18th in scoring defense (12.0 ppg)
Pick: I like Maryland in this one. The Terps are an improved team that could make some waves in the Big 10. Last week they did struggle with south Florida on the road, but I look for them to be a bit more focused in this one. West Virginia will be a solid team this year, but they still have some issues on defense and I feel that will keep them from winning this. Terps by a TD here.
