College Football Odds Texas Tech vs West Virginia

No. 16 Texas Tech will look to keep its position atop the Big 12 standings when it battles conference rival West Virginia in Morgantown on Saturday. This weekend's clash between the Red Raiders and Mountaineers, which will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1, is scheduled to get underway at 12:00pm ET at Mountaineer Field. College Football Odds from offshore bookmaker 5Dimes have Texas Tech listed as a -5.5 against the spread and -220 money line favorite ($220 wins $100). Saturday's game total is set at 57 points.

Texas Tech has been a huge surprise this season under first year head coach Kliff Kingsbury, posting a 6-0 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play.

The Red Raiders have been in regard to scheduling, though, as the only real noteworthy opponent they have faced thus far is TCU. Texas Tech's other wins came against SMU, Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Kansas, and Iowa State. Those teams are a combined 9-18 on the season.

Certainly Texas Tech cannot be faulted for taking care of business against the teams it has been presented; however, it is safe to speculate what it will do in an unfriendly, raucous environment.

West Virginia has been a Jekyll and Hyde team this season, as its 3-3 record would indicate, but all of the good has come at home for Dana Holgorsen's squad.

The Mountaineers were dominated in road outings against Oklahoma, Maryland, and Baylor, getting outscored 126-49, but they are 3-0 at Mountaineer Field with wins over William & Mary, Georgia State, and Oklahoma State.

It is easy to dismiss the games against the Tride and Panthers, but West Virginia's 31-20 defeat of Mike Gundy's Cowboys is of note.

The Mountaineers were an 18 point underdog against Oklahoma State, but they were able to control the time of possession by limiting the Pokes to 6-of-20 on third down and a 2.8 yards per carry average.

West Virginia also had an extra week to prepare for Tech, an advantage the Red Raiders were not afforded as they battled a scrappy Iowa State Cyclones squad at Jones AT&T Stadium last weekend.

College Football Odds Texas Tech vs West Virginia:

Texas Tech Red Raiders -5.5 (-110), Over 57 (-110), -220 (Moneyline)

West Virginia Mountaineers +5.5 (-110), Under 57 (-110), +180 (Moneyline)
